Please examine this document thoroughly prior to reserving. By reserving a yacht charter with BalancedLifestyleClub, you consent to and are bound by these conditions for refunds.
Standard Cancellation and Refund Schedule
More than 72 Hours Before Charter
Entitled to: Complete refund minus processing charges
Processing Duration: 5-7 business days
Processing Charge: €50 for credit card payments
Terms: Must be requested in a written manner via email or phone communication
24-72 Hours Before Charter
Entitled to: Half of the total charter price
Processing Duration: 7-10 business days
Processing Charge: €25 subtracted from the refund amount
Terms: A justified motive must be presented; administrative charges apply
Less than 24 Hours Before Charter
Entitled to: Refunds are not available
Exception: Instances of emergency may receive consideration
Alternate: Credit for future charters might be offered at the discretion of management
Terms: Documentation will be required for emergency related claims
Weather-Related Cancellations
Our Weather Guarantee
Prioritizing safety, if weather conditions are deemed unsafe for navigation by our certified captain, we present flexible alternatives:
- Complete Refund: Offered when rescheduling isn't feasible
- Rescheduling: Charter can be rescheduled without any extra charges to a new available date
- Charter Credit: Issuing credit that's valid for one full year from your original booking date
Weather Assessment Procedure
Our weather assessment incorporates:
- Evaluating wind speed and direction
- Assessing sea conditions, such as wave heights
- Forecasts for visibility and precipitation
- Advisories and warnings from the Coast Guard
- A safety review from a professional captain
Decision Timeline: Judgments regarding weather cancellations are reached at the latest 4 hours prior to the scheduled departure.
Medical Emergency Refunds
Emergency Situations
We appreciate the unexpected nature of medical emergencies. Situations that may be eligible for special considerations include:
- Immediate illness or injury that necessitates hospital care
- Deceased family member
- Unanticipated military duty or deployment
- Legal obligations such as jury duty or subpoenas
- Natural calamities that hinder travel
Proof Requirements
For processing emergency refund claims, please supply:
- Medical certificate or documentation from a hospital
- Death certificate, where relevant
- Genuine military orders
- Notice of juror summons or court mandate
- Travel warnings or declarations of emergency
Processing: Refund requests under emergency circumstances are addressed within 3-5 business days following receipt of adequate proof.
Operational Cancellations
Technical Failures
If the vessel earmarked for you encounters technical problems that remain unsolved:
- Substitute Vessel: We endeavor to offer a similar alternative
- Complete Refund: Provided when a fitting replacement isn't available
- Partial Refund: If the replacement vessel is priced differently
- Compensation: Additional redress might be available for the inconvenience
Unavailable Crew
On the rare occasion that a certified crew is not available:
- An alternative crew will be sought as possible
- Complete refund if the charter doesn't proceed
- Opportunity to reschedule with no added cost
Refund Processing
Payment Modalities
Refund transactions are reverted to the payment method originally used for reservation:
- Credit Cards: 5-7 business days
- Bank Transfers: 7-10 business days
- Cash/Cheque: 3-5 business days
Processing Fees
Credit Card Transactions
A €50 fee is applicable for cancellations requested over 72 hours ahead
Bank Transfer Conversions
A €25 fee is deductible for all reimbursements via bank transfer
International Transactions
Other charges might be incurred for refunds across international borders
Charter Credits
Issuance of Credits
In particular scenarios, we may offer charter credits rather than cash refunds:
- Last-minute cancellations
- Charters cancelled due to weather
- Voluntary reschedule requests
- Organizational disruptions
Terms of Credit
- Validity: One year from the date of issuance
- Transferability: Credits cannot be transferred to others
- Value: Equal to the complete charter amount, devoid of processing costs
- Application: May be applied towards any accessible charter offering
- Expiry: Credits must be used within a year, with no extensions allowed
Partial Service Refunds
Service Disturbances
Should your yacht excursion be interrupted or shortened due to our control factors:
- Refund prorated on the unspent duration
- Credit for a future equal-value charter
- Gratis services or upgrades as customer restitution
Guest-Related Interruptions
In cases where a charter ends prematurely due to guest behavior or safety infractions:
- No reimbursement for the remaining timeframe
- Full charter cost is still required
- Additional costs might be levied
Dispute Resolution
Should you challenge a refund conclusion, you have the option to:
- Request a re-evaluation by our administrative team
- Present supplementary evidence or details
- Engage consumer protection entities
- Explore legal options according to the law
